The IRCs of America are based on the premise that an
intact and functioning immune system is required to prevent chronic diseases
such as cancer, and that such diseases cannot be reversed unless the compromised
immune system is restored. When an impaired immune system exists it “misses”
atypical cells that arise and that would normally be eliminated. The atypical
cell is “allowed” to survive and progress to a cancer. Therapies that only
target the cancer, such as chemotherapy and radiation, and not the underlying
causes too often lead to only a short time remission of the disease. Thus, the first
goal of the clinic is immune recovery - the cornerstone of our program upon
which we build our customized treatments. To accomplish immune recovery, the causative agents of immune impairment must be
discovered and eliminated or controlled. These may include toxins, heavy metals,
microorganism and viral infections. Thus, chelation, detoxification, nutritional
and other infusion therapies will be employed. The patient must be metabolically
typed and brought into hormonal and metabolic balance. Stress management must
also be accomplished.
Many chronic diseases and cancer, in particular, can be brought under control and sometimes reversed by immune recovery alone. However, patients with a long-standing disease condition will also have damage to other body systems. In the case of cancer there may be extensive disease, large tumor burden, and metastasis. A restored immune system alone may be insufficient to manage the disease or the recovery may be slow. For this reason our program has a second aspect - the medical treatment protocols. We utilize modalities to both assist the immune system and others that directly attack the cancer. These may come from conventional medicine, alternative medicine, Chinese and herbal medicine, and naturopathic products. The third aspect of our program is supportive therapy, such as acupuncture, lymphatic massage, diet and nutritional counseling. Our clinics utilize state of the art medicine and diagnostic procedures to evaluate and design treatment protocols for our patients and to monitor their progress.
In addition to our Atlanta Clinic, we are presently in discussions with the Instituto de BioTerapia y Oncologia (Monterrey, Mexico) to establish a Clinic in Monterrey, Mexico.
